Search queries. When a name, location, or similar search term is entered into a search tool, that query may be sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Indiana Inmate Population does not treat those searches as official custody requests and does not store a government record because a visitor searched a name here.
Messages and contact submissions. If you send a message by email or through a contact form, the information in that message may be kept long enough to read it, respond, manage site operations, and keep a reasonable business record. Messages are not sold. They may be disclosed when required by law, court order, subpoena, or a comparable legal demand.
Do not send Social Security numbers, medical details, victim information, sealed juvenile details, confidential case facts, or sensitive custody information through a non-official contact form. Browsing a public guide is different from filing an APRA request with an Indiana public agency.

After you click a link, the privacy policy and terms of that outside site control its data practices.
Advertising partners and search partners may collect information on their own systems, including data used for measurement or interest-based ads. Those practices are not controlled by Indiana Inmate Population.

Personal data is not sold as a standalone list. It may be shared or processed by limited parties that help operate the site or comply with legal obligations.
